Peter Kruder Visions Ltd

Peter Kruder (one half of Kruder & Dorfmeister) previously remixed DJ Hell’s huge ‘Listen To The Hiss’ on Gigolo in 2005. The melodious ‘Visions LTD’ (his first 12” in a long time) is Kruder’s first Gigolo maxi and will be released on April 28. It also features on DJ Hell’s ‘Eleven’ compilation, released in March; Hell’s yearly showcase of the sound of Gigolo. The title track ‘Visions LTD’ is a soundscape of dance floor dreams – soft yet progressive, a track that commands you to dance. ‘Shine’ kicks up the pace, balancing a heavy elasticized bottom end with some deep and dark synth action.
Here is a preview of Peter Kruder Visions LTD EP:

Kruder & Dorfmeister, named after members Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister, is an Austrian duo most known for their downtempo-dub remixes of pop, hip-hop and drum and bass songs.
Their mixes are usually flavored with sampler-processed vocals, deep bassline dub, trip-hop elements, bossa grooves and smoothly-shaped echoes to achieve their unique sound. Some of their better-known works include “High Noon,” “Original Bedroom Rockers,” and remixes of Madonna’s “Nothing Really Matters,” Depeche Mode’s “Useless,” Count Basic’s “Speechless,” Roni Size’s “Heroes”. Many of their remixes are collected on the double album The K & D Sessions.
Although best known internationally for their remixing work, the duo gained their primary reputation in Europe for their live DJ performances and DJ Kicks album. Kruder and Dorfmeister have their own record studio, G Stone Recordings in Vienna, through which they release many of their own albums, as well as others by Stereotyp, DJ DSL, Rodney Hunter, Urbs, Makossa & Megablast, and Sugar B./Dub Club.

Armin van Buuren Master of Armada Music

Armin van Buuren Master of Armada Music
Representing: Leiden, the Netherlands
Style: Trance
Best Known For: Challenging Tiesto’s place in trance history
Armin van Buuren is fast becoming a name as universally synonymous with dance music as Tiësto’s became just a few years ago. Coming at a time recently after the explosion of the king of Dutch trance was a tough task, but he has managed somehow to step out from Tiësto’s shadow and make his presence shine without so much as even a hint of being called a copycat or “just another trance DJ from the Netherlands.”
Before his music career took off, Armin’s alternative was in law, as that was his subject of interest at university. He started out DJing at local clubs (Nexus, to be exact), and honed his marathon DJing skills with lengthy six to seven hour sets. He released “Blue Fear,” at the age of nineteen which got his name out there on the charts, and the hits kept coming, albeit in collaboration with different labels. The nineties seem to have been a great decade for many of the DJs on our Top 10 List, as most of their careers were brought to the world stage in this decade. Armin is no exception – in fact, you could probably make the argument that his career (both as a DJ and as a producer) has experienced the greatest upward ascent. In this time period, he established his own label (Armind under the Armada umbrella), signed a track to Ministry of Sound, and reaching into the millennium, collaborated with some of his most famous colleagues: Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, and Tiësto.

Dj Tiesto

Tiesto – Trance DJ of the 21st Century
Representing: Breda, the Netherlands
Style: Trance
Best Known For: Being a truly universal name, whether you’re a hardcore dance music fanatic or the average clubhead
Arguably the most controversial, but still the most famous electronic music DJ in the world bar none, is Tijs Verwest, or as you know him, Tiësto. Earlier aliases include “Da Joker” and “DJ Limited,” during the times that he experimented with acid house and various other genres. Tiësto hasn’t been around for quite as long as some other workhorse DJs like Sasha and Digweed, but he has still made his rounds. His career really started to pick up steam in the nineties; he created compilations, which was something new in the dance music scene, and in the late nineties, collaborated with fellow Dutch Trance DJ Ferry Corsten. They were known as Gouryella (which means “heaven”) and were responsible for such club classics as “Gouryella” and “Walhalla.”
Tiësto has released more compilations than some artists have released solo artist albums, which is amazing when you consider how much other material he has done. His compilations are among some of the most celebrated: Magik, In Search of Sunrise, In Trance We Trust, and of course, Elements of Life – each of which is like a huge mini-series of compilations. Tiësto’s first solo album, In My Memory, spawned hits like “Flight 643” and “Lethal Industry,” which really launched the Tiësto name into DJ superstardom. His sophomore album, Just Be, is probably most famous for the “Adagio for Strings” cover (which eventually) made it into a movie.
